There's nothing worse than coming late to a birthday party, especially when it's for one of your favorite treats. Tuesday marked the 100th birthday of
Oreo cookies. Whether you are a dunker, a twister or a gobbler, you know that not much beats a glass of ice cold milk and an Oreo cookie. Since I'm a twister, I usually go for the Double Stuff brand, lick out the cream filling and then eat the cookies separately. When my hubby was a kid, he would scoop out the filling into a bowl and just eat that. My mother-in-law said she would usually have a package full of empty cookie shells sitting in her cupboard.
Happy 100th birthday, Oreo! May the next 100 be just as great.
