Jupon -  sleeveless jacket worn beneath a hauberk. So you know I had to look up hauberk, which is "a tunic of chain mail worn as defensive armor," according to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary. You can see photos here.

Juniper - Not only is the juniper berry used for medicinal purposes, the berries are also the main flavor ingredient in gin. Who knew? You can learn more at http://health.howstuffworks.com/wellness/natural-medicine/herbal-remedies/juniper-herbal-remedies.htm

John Paul Jones - Captain John Paul Jones was an officer of the Continental Navy of the American Revolution. More than 200 years ago, Jones and his crew aboard the USS Ranger began dangerous raids along the British coast. A few hours before accepting the surrender of the captain and crew of the British warship HMS Serapis, Jones uttered the famous words, "I have not yet begun to fight."
