The author, Lori Soard, asked me to review the first chapter from Cupid's Quest, the first book in the Cupid's Crossing Series.

FIRST CHAPTER: Gracie Resquire hears the announcement about the $20,000 grand prize the local radio station is offering to win a scavenger hunt and knows that money could be the answer to keeping her nursing home open.
In another part of town, Brandt Bentley and his mother hear the news. She's certain the money will help save the farm for Brandt and his future children.
KEEP READING: Definitely. I'm eager to see how the author is going to pull this one together without disappointing any fans. Who should get the money? Gracie and her residents at the nursing home or Brandt and his mother so the farm can be saved? The opening chapter sets up great cases for both needs.
Within paragraphs, Soard sets up the conflict for each main character and puts them on a collision course to meet. I can't wait to see what happens.
