Happy 100th Birthday Lucille Ball
Do you remember when stamps costs 34 cents? Sure seems like a long time ago. This stamp reminds me of various ways the country has celebrated the talent of comedienne Lucille Ball.
I remember watching I Love Lucy when I was a kid. According to TVLand.com, the show debuted in October 1951 and hasn't been off the air since. It starred Ball as a zany red head who was constantly trying to get into her husband Ricky's nightclub act.
A comedic legend, I'm glad I grew up watching women like Lucille Ball, who despite her antics, showed America that being a housewife was never ordinary.
Happy 100th birthday, Lucille Ball!
