Mailbox Monday - March 11

Mailbox Monday is a meme started by Marcia of To Be Continued. Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came in their mailbox during the last week. It now has a permanent home at the Mailbox Monday blog.

It's Monday. Is there snow where you are? Gosh, I just want it all to go away so I can plan out my garden and see some birds.

I've had three closings since February 28 and I am gearing up for some listings, so we decided to take a quick trip to Cape Cod for some R&R. The Lil' Princess is still on school vacation and the Lil' Diva took half a day Friday.

It was nice to get away. I didn't even bring my laptop. Theo loved the beach, even though it was cool.

My mailbox was empty, but since we were away I got a chance to do some reading.

I am also reading this devotional for Lent, which started Wednesday. As an aside, did  you hear about the teacher who forced a student to remove his ashes that he got for Ash Wednesday? Sounds like the teacher didn't realize how important they are to Catholics.

That's it from my neck of the woods. Hope you have a great week. Please share what your mailbox looked like.

  1. That sounds like the perfect holiday - at the beach without a laptop!

  3. Looks like a nice holiday... and without a laptop. Good job!
    Nice books you picked up.
It is sad to think there are people who don't know about Lent. More sad there are those who don't know about Christ.
    Happy Reading!

    1. So true, Martha. I can't imagine not having Christ to rely on.

  4. Sounds like a great break. The Morning Mind sounds like a good read. My brain is mush in the morning.

    1. The Morning Mind was really good. Not what I expected at all, but good.

  5. Nice time for a break. The Cape wasn't cold? I'm surprised! Everytime I've gone in winter the wind was too harsh for me.

I hope you get some spring soon.

    1. It was cold on Sunday, but Saturday was decent. I'm not a fan of the Cape, really. It's just what's closest to us. I much prefer the Outer Banks.
