Mailbox Monday - Mar 30

Mailbox Monday is a meme started by Marcia of To Be Continued. Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came in their mailbox during the last week. It now has a permanent home at the Mailbox Monday blog.

Well, we are back to Monday again. How are you all doing? We are healthy and fine. A lot has been happening around here: some organizing, some cleaning, prepping the vegetable garden for the seeds I ordered, and the youngest is getting ready to head back to school (virtually) tomorrow. Here are a few photos from this week:

A colorful surprise in the mailbox garden

Speaking of mailboxes, mine held two gifts this week.

What did your mailbox hold? Did something special arrive?

Here's hoping you have a blessed week.

Psalm 46:1-3 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.

  1. Thank you for sharing a fitting verse! Your Easter background is a good reminder of hope and I like the cute mailbox too (I bet I didn't notice that a week or so ago).
I like the simple images of live around you.
Enjoy your book reading and stay healthy.

  2. Hi Cheryl,

When it looked as though hubbie and I might be going on an enforced lockdown, we ordered a load of timber, soil etc. to do a new project in the back garden. Unfortunately only a percentage of the goods arrived before non-essential businesses were forced to close with no notice. Now we are busy scratching our heads to work out a new plan for the area we had in mind, which uses only half the amount of goods, but doesn't waste the plants etc. we have sat here in pots! - Strange times indeed, especially when the credit card companies don't really know how to implement refunds for the charging of non delivered goods!

Both of your new books this week have very dark and brooding covers, unlike your contrasting happy feeling Easter banner, which is lovely. I don't read poetry on too regular a basis, but will dip in and out of a book from time to time. I checked out 'Girls Like Us' and the authors other works and discovered that the covers seem to reflect the deep and often dark nature of her writing. I found it totally intriguing and well worth considering for my own small collection, so thanks for sharing.

    Stay Safe :)

    1. That's too bad, Yvonne. There are so many things we never thought of because we are in uncharted territory. No idea how this will ultimately change industries and best practices.

I skimmed 'Girls Like Us' and I agree with your assessement.

      Praying you stay well.
